Hey guys. So I am back home, the traveling is finished for the weekend, and I have pictures to show! (another upcoming post) As I travel over the state, for all things personal to me and the sports teams I play on, I begin to wonder where I will travel to as I grow older and have the money to visit such places. I have been to a few places in my life, but I really would like to travel more out of country, to a few more exotic or history-full places. So, without further adieu, here is my top 10 places that I want to travel to in my life or that I have been to.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows: Movie Review: PART 2
Now to my actual review of Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows!
Before I start, my rating on a scale to 10 is a 9.5. The acting was brilliant, the suspense was well positioned, and the story was fabulous. As for those who havn't seen the movie, SPOILER ALERT!!! Do not read this post if you do not wish to learn very intricate details of the movie. Also note that more details about the movie are in the post previous to this HERE.
To begin, we have the very same "Case-obsessed" Sherlock Holmes that we had before. He is stuck in an investigation, trying to recover evidence on Professor Moriarty, Irene Adler's "boss". The beginning of the movie we have another scene where Holme's follows Adler, intercepts a package, is fooled by Adler's cunning ability to charm him, and then we have our first fighting scene. I really enjoy this part, especially because the fighting scenes in the Sherlock Holmes movies have been fantastic. Slow motion, specific sounds, and very particular patterns of battle along with the always expected sarcastic humor make these scenes one of my favorites. Holme's deals with the thugs that Adler left him behind with and then continued to stop her from delivering her package. Holme's realizes the package is a bomb, Adler is delivering it to Doctor Hoffmanstahl. To cut this scene short, Holme's stops the bomb from killing anyone (The bomb was from Moriarty to the good doctor), only to find that after he was distracted, the doctor had been dealt with in a more convenient way and Adler was missing. (They have dinner plans later, so don't worry). Now, the rest of my review will not have this sort of detail, but the point I am trying to subdue is that within the first 20 minutes of the movie, we have the same old Holmes, the same old drama, and the same old story that we love that actually is leading us right from Movie 1 to Movie 2.
Now to the meat and potatoes:
The basic gist of the movie is as follows. Holme's and his once again partner and newly wed Watson are on a mission to stop Professor Moriarty from using the vast resources he has to orchestrate a world war. Professor Moriarty has a newly acquired Arms factory in Sweden and owns a fast majority of both arms and bandages that would be used to fuel the war between France and Germany. He, coincidentally enough, is also on the "committee" helping put together the peace treaty between the countries, and others at that, so there is obviously room for things to go wrong. The movie mostly revolves around Holme's and Watson chasing around Mariarty's lose ends to his plans. The two, Holmes and Moriarty, have a few encounters, and develop a very competitive relationship. Without giving away too many details, Holmes, with the help of a few new Gypsy friends and Watson, along with a lot of background work done with Mary Watson (Kelly Reilly), who drops off the story for the last half of the movie til the end, and Inspector Lestrade (Eddie Marsan) end up defeating Professor Moriarty in a "game of chess" at the Peace Meeting. And now, we have our very abrupt, but yet cunning ending. The movie ends with Holmes and Moriarty jumping off a very high cliff after events unravel. Holme's is presumed dead, as is Moriarty. But, what leads us into the most exciting thing yet (another movie?!!!), is that at the end of the movie Watson is righting a book about Holmes, meanwhile a package arrives for Watson, a breathing device noted earlier in the movie, and therefore Watson is inspired to know that Holmes is most likely alive. Needless to say, Holmes was actually in the room with him when he received the package, doubling in an exotic outfit designed my himself, as an armchair.
Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows IS A MUST SEE!!!!
Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows: Movie Review: PART 1
Oh what can be said about the wonderful Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.) tonight? Lets start with me. My decision to attend the movies tonight was very well advised. I enjoyed Downey's perfomance as Sherlock Holmes once again, as I previously did in his 2009 performance, earning the first movie a rating of 7.5/10 (IMDb). I honestly believe that rating is low, and was well up on the scale with tonight's movie. The story, very well detailed and intricately told, kept me on the edge of my $9.25 movie seat as I choked back $14 (technically my $4.75 worth of pop, and the rest of my friends popcorn, but you get the point). The movie was worth every penny. Now, to a more detailed note.
In A Game of Shadows, a note of character importance before I start telling the story. Irene Adler (Rachel McAdams) place a less significant role in the movie, but help kicks off the story guiding us to her hidden Professor of a boss, who turns out being our antagonist, Professor James Moriarty (Jared Harris). To replace the main female role in the story, we have gypsy women Madam Simza Heron (Noomi Rapace). After being introduced to the plot of Holme's investigation, Holme's saves Sim's (the gypsy women) life from an assassin sent by Moriarty and thus kicks off their relationship. Dr. John Watson is played as (Jude Law). And for other casting information see here.
Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows!!!!
As of about four hours ago, I decided I would be attending the 2nd Sherlock Holmes Film: A Game of Shadows. I am really enthusiastic about this movie, not only because I really enjoyed the first movie, but I am an avid fan of Robert Downey Jr. I will write a review tonight along with my "Twas The Ninth Day Til Christmas" post. Until then, Cheers!
